It's More than Medicine

I say this because Naturopathic Medicine is in fact more than medicine. It is a relationship. A journey. And an understating of the physiology behind disease. I had never heard of it until about four years ago when I was struggling to find my place in the medical world. I loved people. I loved medicine, but I was uncomfortable with where our conventional medicine was going. I wanted to do more for people than prescribe. I wanted to empower them in their own health and give them the knowledge and the strength to get well.

And honestly, I wanted to do this for myself.

I wanted to understand what it meant to take health to a level that our country doesn't expect people to go. I found the philosophy of Naturopathic Medicine online, I read it, I applied, and I was accepted.

It addresses the root cause of disease. It asks the question why? It explores functional physiology. It teaches patients what is going on and how to make it better. It uses the healing power of nature. It treats the whole person, viewing the body as an integrated whole. And it is preventative.

Be well and stay well.
